Skin Is In.|Enea - Beauty Avatar Couture|

With the launch of the new skin collections at Beauty Avatar Couture, I knew I would have to try some. For too long I have been wavering from skin to skin after losing interest in my previous default. I love that the skin appears so soft and feminine without looking young. Being a fan of the light to nude lip, the fact that more than half of these skins off that option with variety is perfect for me! Oh and I know a lot of the Beauty Avatar skins had perfectly arched and plucked eyebrows, so I can appreciate the thicker brow in Enea, as its something I look at when choosing a skin. My only hang up with this was that the ears looked a bit too real in comparison with the rest of the skin, which was a bit distracting but not detracting. This skin provides a really soft beauty, if thats what you're looking for in your next skin. It also comes in a Natural Skin tone, which is just a bit more tan but offers the same makeups.

Have you ever been to Paper Couture, well this post is not about it...

But just a few shops down you'll find a store thats relatively new to me, and I really wonder how I didn't know about it before. I'm so happy now though, my SLife is nearer to nirvana! My first time inside I was just so excited, lots of skirts! I have been on the search for more and more prim skirts, I'm not sure I can ever have enough. Anyhow there are lots of skirts and dresses and they generally come in some exciting feminie prints, like this skirt from the Liv set a lovely floral print. WAIT. There is more, but I cannot decide if I should tell you all about it right now...

After visiting I thought; maybe I missed the explosion of, wait for it...Church of Luxe! With the holidays though I did not get a chance to look through the feeds too much, and after the new year began a lot of people were blogging Lo Jacobs' cat and mouse outfit.

Back to the clothes. I was so excited when Lo sent me this in the review pack, it was one of the items I wanted but had not gotten, but now I'm convinced I must get the rest of the floral skirts. Creating an outfit around this skirt was a little more difficult than expected though, partly because I wasn't sure what I wanted to do; I am happy with the final outcome though. For fear that I have typed too much already, I'll leave you with the credits and notice of more to come....

Long distance loves....

This outfit started because I am in love with the Micha Mi Carmela bustier and when Milla sent them out in red and green as a holiday gift I was so excited. She knows her customers well! If you read her blog then you know all about her, but if by chance you haven't gotten to her store--get to it! She has amazing racerback tanks, in a gorgeous brown, and lots of great complete outfits. I knew wearing a bustier though in such blistering cold weather I should throw something else on; browsing my inventory though I saw the Armidi Gisaci Pleated Neck babydoll and before attaching I said to myself, " I think this is going to work, way to go Milla for making your red just a falu in color," and what do you know? Perfect match! 

My other long distance love that I have not had a chance to wear yet were these leather Richelieux from Polina Kaestner creations, they were a group gift as well for the grand opening but at the store there are lots more and in a variety of colors. Plus in the sequin collection there is a beautiful dress--totally my new year's dress and this blazer, that I so need to pick up. Did I mention the prices at both places are stellar!? Well, they are.

The pants, the pants! These Kiki pants from  eLdee were a long time favorite of mine, I should go pick them up in a few more colors. These are a high-waisted trouser and stunning texture work by Lilyana Dryke. Though I'm personally not a fan of the extended system pant leg, that does not detract from the beauty of these pants, however I decided to shorten them just a bit to make them look like a sleek tailored pant and voila!

Oh and the Soon scarf  from Thimbles? Well its just too fun!

A flair for the basics.

Getting back into blogging has not been hard after the start of the new year, but I just wasn't sure if there was a certain grace period I was supposed to follow. But then I see lots of others wasted no time getting back into the blog of things so I figure now is a better time than never, I'm still getting dressed everyday!

What to say? I was reading one of those deliciously good freebie blogs--My SLife of the D List) and after all this talk about RunoRuno I was finally seeing something from there and a freebie, no less. I had no reason to resist! Did you know there is an entire freebie section there? WOW. It was amazing, I picked up way more than I had expected to and I was not sad about it. Normally I'm a big fan of layering it on, but today I just wanted to be very simple perhaps inspiration of my newest dress? Finally, though I hate to admit, I think I wore leggings as pants today. SHAME.

Make my beautiful avatar, couture....

Beauty Avatar, well I'll start by saying that though I always admired the empire they've created. I admired from afar. So when given the chance to blog some items for them I visited several times looking around...The clothes seemed a bit more casual than what I generally look for, but in retrospect I'm not so sure that makes much sense really. However I waited and waited and one day I was doing another visit and the sim was oddly organized--the next day though Beauty Avatar Couture was announced. This was my chance to not only blog something new but also to see how the store was progressing in content and quality. Sooo many releases I walked around the new complex for ages making a list in case there were some things unavailable. Here's what I found....

Here is a look that is definitely not casual! With the New Year just in, maybe you're not ready to give up the parties; New York is for you--not pictured are the wings it comes with. Its a little black dress with some really nice details, I personally love a structured bustier and plunging neckline...mmmm! Paired with an asymmetrical fish-tailed flare skirt, you can't go wrong with this dress and who doesn't love a bit of the NY?

One more dress! I'm sure I've said it before, I have a ton of dresses in my inventory but I don't' really wear them that often, for one I like separates and with dresses I feel its sometimes stifles creativity with getting dressed, call me crazy if you like. They are great for days when I don't care but would prefer not to be 'inappropriate'. Looking at this I realize I'm a bit a creature of habit... more bustier tops, what can I do? There just aren't enough in SL so I have to grab them all! I also love the chain link under the bust. All in all, this is just a really fun flowy dress that can be either dressy or casual and with nude accessories, its swish!

Here's the final look! A bit more put together and almost all *BA*, too. At the moment I am really loving blazers and when I saw this one that had a really nice weave and faux flower I knew this would be a great piece to go really dressy or uber casual, so bo'!

Royal Prep

Not sure who sent out the memo to designers to start producing all these amazing blazers but I'm so glad you did, whoever you are. Not much to say other than there was an amazing sale going on at Royal Blue, not sure if its still on--but everything blue was 10L, woooow! I had seen this blazer in a preview ad and the chance to own it and not only that but for a mere 10L I was stoked...this babe loves a bargain.

Although this post is all about the blazer, honestly I love every piece I'm wearing. The Shark Fin Skirt from Thimbles is amazing on its own, but here I edited the fins--made them a bit wider, so to create a more flared/hippy/structured shape. The Theo necklace I also edited, changed the texture to a metal to keep in theme with the grey tones but also because the original texture was really standout and I wanted everything to flow together. SMALL NOTE: I'm so excited about Valena's transition at LeLutka its amazing to watch her grow and progress...

I feel like this is a bit wordy, but I must mention one last piece...THE SHOES!? Who doesn't have these heels from Gbberish, but I can't get enough. Especially after seeing Mariya at the ShopArmidi launch in them, I was sold.

Did I leave the house in pants?

In-world I often get the urge to just be the LA girl I am at heart. Not that I'm a notorious leggings and men's t-shirt wearer...actually I can't recall that I've ever done that. Im not against it though- not entirely. I will be the first to admit that I'm am over getting dressed.. it takes way too much effort and time, this ideal certainly explains why I have so many tank tops in my inventory- they even have a dedicated folder, and it takes a lot for me not splurge on them...I couldn't resist the fat pack of T-shirt Tanks from ~*LaLa.my next purchase will definitely be the fat pack of VG Republic tanks(so many colors its heaven!) With all the energy and time I'm saving I could be putting into my art, although that doesn't happen either I somehow find my time is spent in-world....



Basically this is and ode to my RL fashion choices. A few weeks ago I purchased the blue leather jacket from !_Ce_cubic effect and haven't had the opportunity to wear it; which is a bummer because I love it! I have it in black as well and the texturing and sculptie work are m'azin...

To complete the look I of course had to throw on some slouch boots, no Angelian's wardrobe is complete without them. Here I opted for J's Loosefit Boots(there is also an option for no buckle) because just look at them...they are the next best thing to either flat slouchy or riding boots, which I have yet to find in-world- I have only come close.

I know what you're thinking, "WHERE ARE HER PANTS?" No need to shout, but as long as I have had them there has been an internal debate- are they or aren't they? The Mimikri Zoe pants, have pants right in the name so they have to be pants right? Not so Lohan though, because I know better and as tempting as it is to not wear pants I can't do it.
